NDA Entrance examination will be conducted by the Union Public Service Commission on 22 August 2010, for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the NDA for the 126th course and Naval Academy for the 88th Indian Naval Academy course (INAC) commencing from 30th June 2011.
The candidates joining Indian Naval Academy would undergo 4 years B.Tech course and would also be given an opportunity to join Technical Branch of the Navy subject to availability of vacancies. The approximate number of vacancies to be filled on the results of this examination will be 335 (195 for the Army, 39 for Navy, 66 for the Air Force and 35 for the Executive branch of Naval Academy).
Vacancies are provisional and may be changed depending on the availability of training capacity of National Defence Academy.
A candidate is required to specify clearly in the application form the services for which he wishes to be considered in the order of his preference. Education: Post Graduate Degree in English / Defence Studies / Psychology / Mathematics / Physics /Statistics / Computer Science / Management OR M Ed degree after PG as stated above OR PhD in the above stated subjects. Minimum Marks: Minimum 50% marks in aggregate in all papers put together.
All candidates applying must have passed 10+2 through regular schooling.
Candidates appearing in final year / semester examination may also apply provided they fulfill the following conditions:- (a) Candidates should not have any present backlog and should have secured a minimum of 60% marks for Graduates and a minimum of 50% marks for Post Graduates in aggregate in all papers put together up to the last semester for which results have been declared, at the time of applying / AFSB testing. (b) Candidates should be able to provide provisional / original qualifying degree certificate latest by 15 Dec 2010.
